 EyeBill Dynamic Routing - Technology

Within the channel of dynamic routing, EyeBill is the brains of the system as it:

  • Monitors the cost/quality parameters of each carrier route
  • Prepares sophisticated instructions for each call, depending on the routing rule (as related to an individual client/ group of clients)
  • Sends routing instructions to the Softswitch/ SBC for implementation
How it works

Step1

As an end-customer makes a call, the Softswitch/SBC contacts EyeBill System prior to establishing a call session.

Step 2

The Softswitch/SBC sends the EyeBill Billing System a request for:

  • Authentication
  • Authorization
  • Routing information

Step 3

EyeBill Billing Server:

  • Authenticates the customer
  • Authorizes the call
  • Determines routing plan, appending to that particular customer
  • Performs estimates in real time to come up with the best i.e. most compliant alternative for that customer's routing rule
  • Prepares a list of possible carrier routes arranged in order of relevance to the customer's service preferences

Step 4

EyeBill EDR sends the "list" of relevant routing options to the Softswitch/SBC for implementation

Step 5

The Softswitch/SBC applies the routing instructions
